Based in Memphis, TN, Angela Dacus is full-service event planner/designer that has successfully grown Southern Event Planners into a wedding and party planning firm known for producing heartfelt, custom crafted celebrations. Angela began her career in wedding planning more than fifteen years ago by recognizing that brides needed to have an advocate to develop their ideas, appreciate that they wanted something different and understand what a budget was.

Along the way her clients recognized her creativity and at their urging, she began offering floral and event design services. She has since been featured in countless wedding publications both in print and online as well as been a respected source for numerous media outlets.

Today, Angela and her amazing team are innovators and trendsetters best known for their creative ideas, unexpected décor accents and exquisite attention to every last detail. Angela has a sensible and calm demeanor that helps her clients relax as she creates one-of-a-kind parties of their dreams. Her experienced team is capable of planning everything from a party of two to a party for a couple thousand. No matter the number of guests, Southern Event Planners’ events are stylish, personalized and unforgettable.

In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling, shopping at flea markets and estate sales (every Sunday, rain or shine!), and is a bit of a magazine junkie, always sourcing new ideas and inspiration. She shares her home with two Norwegian Forest Cats, Chloe and Farley and a hunky man she calls Honeybunny.
